Garnier Fructis Color Shield Review

I'm a member of Influenster, and have been for about two years.... I think. Most recently for their Voxbox program I received a box of FULL SIZE Garnier #ColorShield products. To be more specific, the shampoo, conditioner and the oil (shine spray ). I've heard about the product, but never tried it until Influenster sent it to me. Comes in handy since I dye my naturally red hair an even darker shade of red..... which sometimes fades rather fast.

Why do I dye my naturally red hair...? I dye it a darker shade of red, because the finished product just looks more vibrant and I prefer darker red on me over my natural colour. The only problem with having a more vibrant shade of red..... is it fades, and no one wants a dull shade of red.

Red hair... where to start, I don't wash it as often which sometimes can lead to it looking greasy. Ugh. Hot water, and styling products ( Hair straightener and blow dryer) definitely threaten how long the desired colour lasts.

Color Shields quote : "Want colour that stays bold & brilliant? Seal & protect fresh colour for up to 10 weeks with Color Shield Complete Defense. Protection against heat, water and sun."

I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, and I've noticed that it isn't fading as fast as usual. It also doesn't leave my hair feeling weighed down at all, and smells amazing! We'll see how it holds up at the 10 week mark.

The Color Shield Shine Shaker says :  "Formulated with camelia seed oil and acai berry extract, our unique technology defends freshly coloured hair against heat and nourishes to extend shine and softness."

So far I'm loving this shine oil. It smells great as well and definitely adds more shine. So far I'm impressed with this product.
I'd say that these products do help with locking my colour in, and keeping it shiny. I'd give them my "shield of approval".

"I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes."

New logo and look.

As you may have all noticed, Azeroth Mommy has a new logo, and header! I'm ecstatic to finally have a logo and header to call my own.  I had been looking for months, and contacted many artists.... all were talented, but when it came to providing a look and feel of what I was looking for, I wasn't happy with any of them...... until I came across Taylor! My husband followed him on Twitter, and mentioned I check him out, because he had recently done the logo for one of our favourite podcasts that we listen to The Sundering. I checked him out on twitter and then went to his deviant art, and fell in love with his work. The style, was EXACTLY what I had been looking for. I contacted him, and received a response almost immediately, I described the logo design that I had in my mind and Taylor set to work.
Let me just say that he is AMAZING to work with. He gave me updates and showed me the logo as he went. He was extremely patient, and understanding..... ( It's not always easy to describe what you visualize and then have someone draw/design it.) After he finished my logo, and sent me the finished product, I was super psyched! It was everything I wanted and more. He brought my idea to life, and I couldn't be happier with it. He then started on my official header/logo, and after receiving it once it was finished...... I was over the moon excited to see it. The baby murloc added in, was genius and my husband and I were very happy with both finished products.
Taylor is an extremely talented man, and I'm so happy that I came across him and his work, and even happier that he took on this project for me. I can't thank him enough! He made my vision a reality, and I look forward to working with him again.

I asked Taylor a couple of questions and figured it would give everyone a little bit about him. He's a great person to get to know and work with. After the Q & A's I will post all the links to his Twitter, Deviant Art, etc. Definitely check him and his work out and give him a follow!

     Introduce yourself:

Alright haha, so basically in short I am an aspiring artist working on living my dream to one day work for Disney. I went to college for game Design and digital entertainment where I received my bachelors degree at ITT Tech.

How old were you when you started drawing?

I had started drawing around the age of 3 or 4. I use to watch my grandma draw all the time, she was like a Human photo copier with charcoal pencils. She's the one that introduced it to me and taught me a lot throughout growing up.

What is your favourite thing to draw? Least favourite?

Well, I'm really all over the place when I draw, I would probably have to say humanoids of my own personal designs are my favourites; because when I'm the one designing them I don't feel like I'm following a blueprint and I can exercise my imagination.

Who or what is your biggest motivator?

I would have to say, my girlfriend  Spencer Driscoll, who has pushed and supported everything I do and my love of creating new characters and art.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now? 10 years?

In 5 years I see myself established with a company doing concept work or animations. In 10 I'd like to be working with Disney and possibly writing a book.

Now go and check Taylor's pages and art out. Send him a follow too :)
