Quick update

Last weekend, my husbands brother spent the weekend with us. It was nice, especially on Saturday being as  I had a Mom to Mom sale to vendor my Scentsy table at while they watched her for the day lol. It was much needed time out. The sale was slow, not many people showed up but I did have lots of people take my business card and a couple of orders which is always fantastic, and it really makes my day! :)
I ended up bringing pizza home for dinner because I didn't feel like cooking and wasn't sure what everyone wanted.
On Sunday we went into town and looked around for a bit. We ended up getting our little on a light up/ music playing keyboard, since lately she's been getting bored of her stuffed animals and crinkly books. It was $25 but well worth it. It plays a ton of songs and she adores the lights. She's 5 months old on June 3rd... *sniff*she really is growing up so darn fast.
We then went out for a late lunch/early dinner at a place called Crabby Joes. It's a bar and grill but also a family restaurant :/. We ended up getting the Cheese sticks for an appetizer and this:
It was a BBQ Pulled Pork Flatbread type appetizer. My husband and his brother loved it.... I'm not much of a pork person... it was good, just not for me. ( That's half of it,... they had already eaten the other half lol )

I ended up getting the Hickory smoked burger, it was delicious. My husband got the Lotsa Mozza burger ( it had 3 cheese sticks on it! ) and his brother got the Grilled Cheese burger.... yeah you read that right. A hamburger and bacon smacked between two grilled cheese sandwiches. It was part of their Over the Top burgers menu.
Their prices were extremely good, and the quality of food was amazing. I haven't had a burger that good in a while. ( It was our first time to Crabby Joe's )
We ended the day by coming home and watching Lord of the Rings... yup I'm geek at heart and so is my husband.
It was Memorial Day in the states so they had a 3 day weekend, which I can never complain about.

This weekend I'll be posting my Bluum baby box review and unboxing as well as my Glossybox unboxing, which I'm excited for! I'm still waiting on Beauty Box 5 :(, already not too impressed on the wait time for that box.
Plus it's my 25th birthday on Sunday and my husband has something planned, so I will post when I get a chance.
I hope you all are having a great week, tomorrow is Friday!

My First Mother's Day!

I know it's a little late, but I wasn't online much during Mother's Day weekend.  My husband ended up getting me a Batman onsie for our LO. I LOVE Batman, and even though our LO is a girl, she can still love Batman too,...... hopefully, we'll let her decide when she's old enough. He got me the sauce that I love from Buffalo Wild Wings, and have been craving since I was 7 months pregnant. Saturday we ended up going out and getting our mothers gifts.... yeah we were last minute shoppers this year. Then we ventured onto lunch/dinner. We took our LO with us and surprisingly she slept during most of it. She woke up when our appetizer got to our table, we ordered the Baked Spinach Dip, ( It's delicious ). She was all smiles and happy to be out, which made me happy. She sat in our lap during our meal and watched us, and giggled ( I love her giggle ). Our waiter was pretty cool, he ended up giving our appetizer to us for free, just because we filled out a survey on our experience. That's always a plus. :) My husband ordered some Chicken Parmesan Sandwich with a salad, and I got the Veggie Burger with Sweet Potato Fries.

For dessert, Brownie pops! These are so unhealthy but so unbelievably delicious. They are brownie bites ( deep fried I think) served with a caramel sauce and cream cheese icing. Those are pretty much two weeks worth of cheat days for me lol, but totally worth it.

Sunday for Mother's Day my husband made me the homemade version of Parmesan Garlic boneless wings. He also watched our LO so I could have a nap and shower. It's the little things that make days like Mother's Day amazing. Just being with the ones you love as well!
My first Mother's Day was awesome, and I can't wait for many more to come. I hope everyone else had a great day too.

Dr.'s Appointment and Baby/Beauty Boxes

On Tuesday morning I got our little one into the Dr.'s for an appointment. This is our first child, so we ( mainly being me ) over react about some things. She had her cough for over a week, so I wanted it checked out. We went in and by the end of the appointment I felt a bit better. Our little munchkin is 4 months old and weighs 15.3 lbs. She is in the 90th percentile. Found out she just has nasal congestion, which is causing her to cough. So I was told to get Pediatric Saline nose spray, a vaporizer or humidifier, and to keep cleaning her nose out. So far it's working, her cough is pretty much gone, which is a big relief to me.
Side note: after the appointment, she of course started pooping ( she makes the funniest faces ) so I put her on the back seat and started changing her.... I thought she was done.. boy was I wrong!  I started to clean her up and I heard a loud fart and she projectile pooped on me and the seatbelt, I was laughing so hard I was practically crying. After I got her all cleaned up, I felt something warm on my arm, I lifted up my t-shirt sleeve and it was underneath it, it was all over the place. I cleaned it up while laughing hysterically. All this time she was looking at me like " Momma, what's wrong with you?"
I was having a bad week, I had a couple of down days, so my husband signed me up for Bluum baby box, and Glossybox. So I'm anxiously awaiting to receive the boxes and put up reviews on them! Oh I also signed up for Beauty Box 5. As soon as I get them I will update for everyone.
This weekend is my FIRST Mother's Day! I'm excited, my husband has a couple of things planned, I'm still trying to guess. ( Is it weird that I already have his Father's Day gifts picked out? )
Oh, and today marks 1 Year finding out that we were expecting . Still have the picture of the pregnancy test. :) One of the best days ever, finding out that we were going to be parents.
I hope that all mommy's out there have an amazing Mother's Day this weekend!

Happy Monday everyone!

Hopefully everyone is having a good Monday so far. The weekends go by so fast. So I did it again, Friday I redid the red on my hair. I used Garnier, it's worked awesome in the past and it seems to be the only boxed dye that one box will cover all of my hair. I realize that because I had so much blonde in my hair, I needed a filler, but Sally's didn't have any, so the first red washed out to an almost pinkish colour.

I left it on for 40 minutes and it turned out just a tad bit lighter than the picture. Which I don't mind. I will definitely purchase more Garnier Nutrisse hair colour. I LOVE it.
On a different note, my LO still has her cough :( It's been a week today, so I'll be calling my doctor's office to see about getting her in for an appointment to have it checked out. Wish us luck that it's nothing too serious. ( I was reading, that cold symptoms can also mean teething.... :/; however it's the cough that I'm worried about, it's not horrible, but it's still not gone after a week so we'll see what the doctor has to say.
I'm excited for this month, I have a Mom2Mom sale I'll be doing for my Scentsy business at the end of the month! (insert happy squeal here )
So far that's all I have. I hope all you mommies are having a good start to your week as well.

TGIF!

This week has sucked! I'm sure all you momma's out there have had weeks like it. Our little munckin has been sick since Monday, cough and congested. :( Then on top of that I'm pretty sure she's teething. She's 4 months old today though! She's growing up so fast :( It's true what people say, it FLYS by. I had to go out yesterday to run some errands, and had to take our LO with me, since my husband works away all week. She was already cranky and I didn't get to really do any of my running around, except to get groceries ( which resulted in my mom sitting in the vehicle with my LO so she could nap and feed ) She did not want to be out yesterday at all. I don't blame her, she's just getting over a cold, but it just made it so much harder to get stuff that we need, like food lol. So far this morning she's been in a much better mood.... it's only 8:45am though. Here's to hoping she feels better. She's currently napping in her bouncy chair. She loves that darn thing and so do I. Even on her crankiest days it seems to make her happy..... Maybe I should have taken it with me to town yesterday.
I'm dreading this month. She's 4 months so I know the doctor will be calling to see if I want to book her appointment for her 4 month immunizations.... My husband and I are on the fence about this. Last time she got her first ones, the doctor practically stabbed her second leg... I was NOT impressed. I'm a Nursing student and up until that I've never seen many Dr's be that rough with a baby. My LO was fine for the first shot, the second one is when she freaked out. Maybe it's the mommy in me, but I just hated it and the fact that they won't book an appointment for it to be done on their Saturday clinic ( when my husband is home ) makes it that much harder. What did everyone else do, did you get your LO's immunizations at all the age markers suggested? Thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated. I hope everyone else has had a wonderful week and is looking forward to the weekend.
